Lapdesk N600 makes browsing from the couch comfy
Logitech has just introduced a unique product in its range, with the Touch Lapdesk N600. It acts as a base for a notebook and sports a large multi-touch pad on the side to make it easier to navigate the web or perform other computing tasks. The pad shields users’ laps from the heat their portable computers generate.
The 5-inch touchpad is retractable and recognizes one finger as a pointer, two fingers for scrolling and moving through pages or pictures with three. The Lapdesk has a claimed six-month battery life and connects to notebooks wirelessly using Logitech’s Unifying receiver. Anti-slip surfaces keep the Lapdesk and the notebook that rests on it steadily balanced. Four hardware buttons control volume, launch the browser or turn on or off the device.
The Lapdesk N600 should arrive in Europe and the US later this month, priced at $70.

Still amazes me
that Logitech persists with proprietary wireless when Bluetooth is so pervasive.
