Improv adds 10.5-inch and binder Boogie Boards

Improv Electronics has added to its original Boogie Board writing pads by releasing a new 8.5-inch model for binders and a larger 10.5-inch standard version. The boards rely on pressure-sensitive reflex LCDs and can be dry-erased after users create text or drawings using their fingers or a stylus. Also new is a Message Center that lets users mount the Boogie Boards to a wall or fridge, for example.

The large board costs $60 while the 8.5-inch one for binders is $45. Both are now available, while the $20 Message Center can be pre-ordered now, with no ship dates yet available.

The boards' batteries are said to only be used up when erasing content and are rated for 50,000 such processes.

Early in June, or just about this time, Brookstone stores and the online site will exclusively sell an 8.5-inch Boogie Board for $40. It will have a design that mimics the original, but get a clear acrylic case and red or charcoal top cover place along with an integrated stylus holder.
