Includes traffic updates, Yelp and Google search
Magellan has released RoadMate App 2.0 for the iPhone. The new version of the app ($60, App Store) includes "lifetime" map updates for the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico, as well as Magellan's Lifetime Traffic service. New features include reviews of local businesses through Yelp as well as local Google search.
Roadmate leverages the iPhone's built in GPS hardware to provide spoken turn-by-turn directions with street names. Its Lifetime Traffic Service provides live traffic information and suggests alternate routes if congestion is a problem.
Although Magellan claims free lifetime maps, the small print includes a limiting disclaimer that says the maps can run out after three years.
RoadMate is optimized for the iPhone 4 and will still have its full functionality. It is also compatible with 3rd and 4th generation iPod touch players, but as with the previous version of RoadMate, the touch doesn't have integrated GPS hardware and requires the addition of Magellan's Premium Car Kit.
RoadMate iPhone App 2.0 is available as a free update to current Magellan RoadMate App users. The Premium Car Kit for iPod touch owners retails for $100.

Be careful with this update...
I upgraded, and I have lost the ability to choose a contact from my address book. EVERY single time, I get a message stating that the address could not be found on the map. I'm going to downgrade back to 1.3.
If anyone has found a solution, please advise!
