If you think a single hardware device

is a threat to Apple, I suggest writing for the HuffPo or something just as ridiculous.

holy lack of reading comprehension Batman

the article does not say it's a threat to Apple itself.

An iPhone or even an iPod touch will still handle multi-role jobs better through Apple's experience in interface and the smaller size. But for people who want a 'deep' gaming companion or teens who can only choose between an iPod or the PSVita, it could well be the top pick.

I suggest you stick to reading FoxNews.com or something just as ridiculous.

Like fixed-blade knife vs. Swiss Army knife

This is like choosing between a fixed-blade knife and a Swiss Army knife. If you're looking for a great knife and all you care about is how good it cuts, you'd buy a fixed blade knife. But most people, when given a choice would go for the Swiss Army knife because it has a decent knife plus it has so much more.

If you want a gaming device and all you care about is how well it plays games, the PSVita is for you. But I believe most people will continue to buy the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad because they are decent gaming devices plus they can do so much more.

    I saw the video demo...

it's going full brown touch like iPod plus backside touch which is very unique. Backside touch is great when you don't want your hands off the joystick while accessing control panels. This device will definitely attract the hardcore gamers.... just don't use it as a phone. Apple devices truly inspires others to follow, just like the original Macintosh.

    Let the best device win.

Only a tool would say otherwise.

    One Device

That's what everyone wants. Not two devices to carry. One.

So, the PS thingy is DOA for most of the millions that carry smartphones and are perfectly happy to use those phone as game machines. So, the market for this new thing is hard core gamers, young people without a cool phone, and people who have to have everything.

What it is not going to be is successful. At least in comparison to Apple anyways.

    Hands-on

Among all the games, the common thread was an outstanding visual presentation. You could likely spot differences, but in many ways it really is like looking at a PS3 game on a smaller screen. That screen itself is gorgeous, too.
