PlayBook coming to 16 new markets within 30 days

Research In Motion on Friday announced it will bring its first tablet, the BlackBerry PlayBook to 16 new countries within the next 30 days. While specific dates for each country aren't being revealed, the 7-inch tablet will soon be available for purchase in the UK, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Australia, Venezuela, Spain, Germany, the UAE, Singapore, Mexico, France, Italy, India, Indonesia and Colombia.

Prices in each country are also not known at this time, and are likely to be revealed closer to the release date of the actual product. The tablet has been criticized for its lack of a native e-mail server and calendar, as well as stand-alone BBM, requiring it to be paired with a BlackBerry handset.
