Vizio VTAB1008 reaches FCC, stores soon

Vizio looks like it is closer to releasing its first Android tablet. First teased during the Rose Bowl, the VTAB1008 has now made an appearance at the FCC. Having recently turning up in Walmart’s inventory for $349, its appearance at the FCC suggests that a formal unveiling will not be far away.

As expected, most of the details of the tablet will remain hidden behind a confidentiality clause with the FCC until August 30. In the meantime, the device is confirmed as sporting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. An HDMI port will also help it fit in neatly with Vizio’s HD television line. [via Engadget]
