Toshiba now taking pre-orders for the Thrive
The Toshiba Thrive 10.1-inch Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) tablet is now up for preorder. Users have the option to preorder the tablet through Amazon, Office Depot, or through Toshiba Direct. The tablet is expected to ship on June 13 starting from $429 for an 8GB model.
The Thrive will also come in 16GB and 32GB versions for $479 and $579. Like most of its competition, it centers on a 1280x800 display and runs an NVIDIA Tegra 2. In addition to all the standard Android tablet ports and expansion options, the device sets itself apart with a removable battery and swappable rear covers.
