Features award-winning organizing system
Cocoon Innovations have debuted two new cases that have been designed to be compatible with more than one type of Mac or iOS device, with an emphasis on also being able to store and carry all kinds of odd-shaped accessories. Both include the Grid-It, a unique weave of rubberized elastic straps that can securely hold objects of any size or shape smaller than the case itself, in any configuration. A single case can hold an iPad, for example, and all of its accessories.
The Grid-It system, which won Best Technology Product at this year's National Association of Professional Organizers conference, is part of both the Grid-It Wrap (available in versions for the iPad, the 11- and 13-inch MacBook Air and seven-inch tablets), and the Sleeve 2, which comes in a single version for either 13-inch MacBook or an iPad 2. For the Grid-It Wrap, users slide their iPad or MacBook Air into the cushioned back pocket, strap in their accessories, and flip down the cover. The neoprene wrap comes in black, grey and red, all with a dark grey interior.
The Sleeve 2, designed for the 13-inch MacBook or iPad 2, is made with Deflexion, a shock-resistant material, and includes heavy-duty zippers along with two pockets and the included, removable Grid-It insert. It includes an elastic hand strap and padded, adjustable arm strap, and is available in black and red, each with a dark grey interior.
The Sleeve 2 sells for $70, while the Grid-It Wrap costs $30, with the former becoming available on June 30th and the latter starting shipping on Thursday the 16th. The company is currently running a Father's Day-themed contest with a prize of a 16GB iPad 2 when shoppers use the promo code GiveMeiPad2 with their purchase (contest rules are available here).
