Galaxy Tab 7 replacement to have 1.2GHz CPU?
The successor to the original Galaxy Tab 7 may sport a 1.2GHz Exynos CPU, Italy's Samsung HD Blog reported this week. The device is expected to launch this fall, and should run on Android 2.3.4 when it does. It is also rumored to get 1GB of RAM and 2GB of ROM, along with 16GB of built-in storage space.
A microSD memory card will also be present, and a proprietary connector will have USB host abilities thanks to an adapter. It will get IPS technology for the 7-inch, 1024x600 touchscreen. Users will have the ability to send SMS messages and make voice or video calls. TouchWiz 4.0 will be overlaid atop the Android OS.
Samsung has less reliance on the 7-inch tablet now that it launched the slimmed down Galaxy Tab 10.1 and with the Galaxy Tab 8.9 coming out soon. Both of these run on the tablet-optimized Android 3.0 OS already, however.
