Next Wii U prototype inbound for devs in July

The next version the Wii U prototype hardware will be in the hands of developers by July. According to Eurogamer, when the new model arrives, much more will be known about the power of the hardware and its online capabilities. Sega Europe MD of development Gary Dunn has said that with the current developer model, “It’s still a little early” to speculate on the potential for the console.

“There’s another generation of prototype hardware coming out in June or July that's going to give us more information," Dunn told Eurogamer, adding that he "better not say" how old the current Wii U hardware Sega has is.

Dunn would not be pressed on the power of the console versus the PS3 or Xbox 360, although recently one analyst claims that it could be as much as 50% more powerful than these older generation devices.
