Samsung Captivate gets leaked official Android 2.3

Unclear if builds are stable

Official Android 2.3 builds have reportedly leaked for Samsung's Captivate handset currently sold from AT&T. It remains unclear if both of the Gingerbread builds, labeled I897UCKE3 and I897UCKF1, are still in beta development, or representative of the stable release that will eventually arrive through the official channel.

AT&T has yet to announce a timeframe for bringing the OS update to the Captivate. The build dates are only separated by two weeks, suggesting the official release may be imminent.

The leaked builds can be found on SamFirmware.com and installed on rooted devices. [via Samsung Hub]
