"4K x 2K" display will hit Japanese market in Sept
Eizo has launched the DuraVision FDH3601a, a 36-inch, 4096x2160 monitor. The 4K resolution is four times that of a standard 1080p TV and intended for pros that need very large editing areas. The monitor also features a sensor that automatically detects when the user is present or away and powers on and off accordingly.
The display has a brightness of 700cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1. It uses white LEDs for backlighting. Viewing angles are relatively wide at 176 degrees, both vertically and horizontally. It comes equipped with two DVI-D ports, two HDMI ports and three USB ports.
The company will release the FDH3601 in Japan on September 7. There are no announced plans for when it might be launched elsewhere. Pricing is steep at approximately $35,900. [via Tech-On]
