Upgrade kept some customers from streaming media

A recent software update may have disrupted Slingbox service to some of its Pro-HD customers. Engadget reports that a software update pushed down to Slingbox subscribers actually may have caused the box to appear not to be ready to stream. Slingbox has acknowledged the problem in its Answers Forum.

Slingbox has apologized to its customers. To fix the problem, the company asks affected subscribers to manually reset the machine and then wait while a new, tested update is installed in the box.
