Audyssey Lower East Side speaers hit PC, home AV
Audyssey unveiled its second district-themed speaker system on Wednesday with an unusual flexible focus. The Lower East Side is ostensibly a desktop speaker set for computers but has both analog and optical inputs to hook it up to virtually any platform, such home theater receivers and mobile devices. The company's experience in audio tuning comes into play with processing that reportedly delivers deeper bass and good low-volume quality without needing a dedicated subwoofer.
The minimalist, wireframe look takes its cue from the speakers' namesake corner of Manhattan and its musical influence, particularly legendary clubs like CBGB. Its earlier South of Market set was based on San Francisco.
Lower East Side pairs should be shipping late this summer in just the one black-with-red color scheme and are expected to have a real-world $199 price.

I live in the lower east side and
those speakers don't say lower east side to me. This is the most blatantly "hipster" suck up I've seen from a tech company, ever. Drop names like the long gone yet culturally significant CBGB's does not make these speakers cool, nor does models with hideous tatts make these cheap things appealing. Maybe they should have called it Justin Bieber speakers, he has 2 tattoos.
