Device compatibility still limited

Samsung is distributing a new version of Kies for Mac, still in beta. The Mac and Windows editions of the software are used to sync data with Android phones and tablets. The Mac v1.0.0.11062_33 download adds support for the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung's new flagship tablet.

The company warns that Kies for Mac is still in an early state, supporting a limited number of devices. These do however include the Galaxy S II, and the original 7-inch Galaxy Tab. The Mac beta is also unable to install firmware updates, although support will likely be added at a later stage.
