Facebook for Android catches iOS on video
Facebook updated its Android app (Android Market) on Friday to bring it up to par with the iOS version. Devices with a camera can now capture and upload video. The social network's Pages also now load without having to turn to the browser.
The update cleans up the news feed, bringing it more in line with the visuals of the iPhone version.
As with the earlier app, Facebook's update is one of the most broadly supported apps and works on devices using Android 1.5 or later. Some of the tighter integration with the OS needs as late as Android 2.2.
