HTC Evo 3D coming to Europe in July with HSPA

The HTC Evo 3D smartphone, launched in the US just last week, will soon come to European countries. Hardware-wise, the device will differ only in that it will swap CDMA and 4G WiMAX radios for GSM and HSPA chipsets to support European networks. The handset can also be identified thanks to its gold highlights around the camera rather than red ones on the US version.

Otherwise, the device gets the same 1.2GHz, dual-core Snapdragon CPU and 1GB of RAM as the US version. A 4.3-inch, 540x960-pixel glasses-free 3D touchscreen serves as the centerpiece, with Android 2.3.3 using Sense 3.0 over top. The 3D moniker refers not just to the display but to dual five-megapixel cameras that can capture still and video images in 3D.

Europeans can expect to see the Evo 3D in stores in July, with prices varying by country.
