Mitsubishi outs 22-inch TV with BD, HDD for Japan

Mitsubishi has just taken the wraps off an upcoming LCD TV that sports not only a built-in Blu-ray player but also a 500GB hard drive. While these features don't make it unique, the 22-inch set's ability to hide these in the base keeps the design more compact than others. Most Japanese all-in-one sets hide it in a bulkier cabinet or need a larger overall TV.

The LED-backlit screen has a resolution of 1366x768. Aside from the needed two HDMI inputs, Mitsubishi outfits the set with a USB port, an SD memory card slot, Ethernet, and i.Link (FireWire) inputs.

The TV ships on July 21 in Japan only and is priced at the equivalent of $1,360. There is no indication of when or if Mitsubishi will bring the set to other markets such as North America.
