TiVo customers may soon be able to stream programming between rooms, Zatz Not Funny reports. In the past, subscribers had to transfer a file recorded by a TiVo in one room to the TiVo in another room before it would be watched in that second room. With the new TiVo Premiere set-top, in conjunction with TiVo's latest software, transferring and watching, instead of directly streaming, may be a thing of the past.
The new streaming feature set enables both streaming and transfers, streaming of copy-protected videos, and streaming of videos that are still recording.
TiVo has not indicated when multi-room streaming officially will be available, but, according to Zatz, some bloggers claim it can be done now.

You can watch a transferring video now. It's just a matter of keeping ahead of the data. The TiVo software gives you an option to watch right when the transfer starts and has since transfers have been implemented.
