Zynga gets first wireless partner with AT&T

Wireless provider AT&T and social games developer Zynga on Wednesday announced a partnership that will see the latter's latest games available to the former's subscribers. AT&T's shelf in the Android Market will get popular titles such as FarmVille, Words with Friends, and Zynga Poker, among others, as part of the deal. Users will also find customized content and free credits in some games.

At the same time, AT&T-sponsored events will feature Zynga giveaways. AT&T and Zynga will work together to make the gaming experience more efficient for users and both extend battery life during gameplay as well as improve better network efficiency for multiplayer games.

AT&T is the first cellular carrier to partner with Zynga. The specifics of the deal, such as any money that exchanged hands, weren't detailed.
