Handset supports CDMA over current iDEN spectrum

Corroborating earlier reports, Samsung briefly posted details of its upcoming Conquer 4G handset. Although the company quickly pulled the Conquer page from its website, the listing confirmed a number of leaked specs. The Android-based device, which is headed for Sprint, will enable users to take advantage of WiMAX connectivity, along with the carrier's 800MHz spectrum that will eventually be reallocated for CDMA instead of iDEN.

The handset offers a 3.5-inch 320x480 display paired with a 1GHz processor, while a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera complements the 3.2-megapixel primary sensor.

The Conquer 4G has yet to be formally introduced by Sprint or Samsung. The device is nonetheless expected to arrive on the market in the near future, with a budget price believed to match the midrange feature set. [via PhoneScoop]
