Toshiba shows Qosmio F750 notebook for the UK

Toshiba has introduced what it says is the first glasses-free 3D notebook, the Qosmio F750 3D. The 15.6-inch notebook uses the webcam to adjust the lenticular display based on a user's face and position of the eyes. It tracks the user's head movements to maintain the effect as the owner changes stance.

Other specs include a 1080p display when in 2D, a quad 2GHz Core i7 processor and NVIDIA's GeForce GT 540M graphics. A standard version comes with 6GB of DDR3 RAM and a Blu-ray XL recordable drive that can read and write to the new 128GB optical media. The notebook upscales 2D movies to 3D and can show 3D content in one window along with 2D content in another at the same time.

Local content is stored on a 640GB, 5,400RPM hard-drive, and Harman Kardon speakers, an HDMI port, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and a memory card reader are integrated, as are three USB 2.0 ports and one for USB 3.0.

The Qosmio F750 3D goes on sale in the UK early in August, priced at around 1,300 or the equivalent of about $2,100. US pricing and ship dates are not yet available, but Toshiba normally brings its notebooks to the US.
