Xbox 360 Cloud Storage live in some Arcade games

A recent software update to the Xbox 360 console enables users to save data in the cloud and access it from other Xbox 360 consoles, an Xbox user informed Eurogamer. He successfully pulled his information from another Xbox 360 console, though this functionality is only available on some Xbox Live Arcade games. Microsoft promised to bring cloud storage to the Xbox at the E3 show in June.

The cloud storage saves also include data such as Microsoft Points, Achievements and friends. The Microsoft spokesperson at the conference promised gamers will have the option to save game saves onto the cloud rather than a portable memory unit like a USB drive or else the console's hard drive. Gamers just have to sign in on other Xbox 360 game consoles using their Xbox Live ID.

When, rather than if this functionality will be expanded to more Xbox Live titles remains to be seen but is more than likely.
