iPhone 6 charging plans teased in updated rumor

An update to an earlier iPhone 5 leak has given what could be even more ambitious plans for the sixth-generation model. Experiments for the 2012 version of the phone would have it use a "new way" to charge the phone. The WSJ source didn't say what it would entail, but it would most likely be inductive, wireless charging akin to HP's webOS devices.

The method usually needs a new back design that can draw a charge directly through the device but which eliminates the need for cables and only requires an inductive dock or charging mat. Apple could use the Qi wireless power standard and let users run on third-party chargers. It's unknown whether Apple would go HP's route and have an Exhibition-like mode that invokes special apps when on a dock.

Also in the discussion was insistence that development of a cheaper iPhone was underway. Few details surfaced other than that it might have an edge-to-edge screen.

The statements about the extent of the new designs imply that the nearer iPhone design will be more akin to the iPhone 4. As a "thinner and lighter" design, though, it wouldn't just be a repeat of the 2010 model. Most expect it to have a dual-core A5 processor and an eight-megapixel rear camera.

We still haven't seen or officially heard of IPhone 4S, 4GS or 5 and here comes the IPhone 6 rumor?
What about the IPhone 7 will be3D,
    the iPhone 8 holographic conferencing,
The iPhone 9 is solar powered

Maybe we should stick to what's there? What will be the price of the iPhone 4 when the new one comes out. What will the last OS available on £Gs and 4? Info we can relate to please.

MicroUSB. Didn't the EU make this a requirement of new phones made after a certain date?

    Massive health issues.

This concerns me for massive health issues with the users (radiation-cancer). I hope I'm wrong.

Funny, I heard from a reliable source that the iPhone 6 would be a "software only" brain implant installed by telekinesis from the App Store. At the moment though they are still "working out" some of the bugs and so to get adequate reception and increase attenuation one must stick their finger you-know-where.

Nope, they passed a useless rule that helps no one. All they said was you needed to be able to charge with a microUSB cable. However, they allowed manufacturers to connect to the cable via a special adapter. So, there's no requirement for the iPhone to have a microUSB port. Just to be able to connect to such a cable.

Yeah, so much better. Rather than carrying a cable, one just needs to carry something else instead!

Yes, using a cable is so complicated. You have to figure out which end of the cord to plug in. Then which direction. Then where is that other part supposed to go. Man, who knew iPhone users were so dense that they needed 'stupidly simple' solutions to things like charging their phones.
