Honeycomb tablet to hit Japan in mid-August

Camangi will be introducing the Viewsonic 7x tablet into the Japanese market. Rebadged as the Mangrove 7, the seven-inch tablet will be one of the first tablets to run Android 3 and won't necessarily use 3.2. It is expected to be available in mid-August.

The Mangrove 7 will sport a 1024x600 transmissive LCD display, a capacitive touch panel with LED soft keys, NVIDIA's dual-core Tegra, two megapixel front and five megapixel rear cameras, a mini HDMI interface, and even FM radio.

Pricing for the Mangrove7 comes in at 48,900 yen ($615 US). The ViewSonic 7x can have a lower price in other countries. [via Netbook News]
