Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro shows up at FCC

Gingerbread slider has dual QWERTY keyboards


Sony Ericsson has shipped its mid-tier Xperia Mini Pro to the FCC for approval. Its version looks to be the international model and doesn't have North American 3G but could now be used in the US. The second generation Android 2.3 slider was officially launched in May to launch this summer.

The Pro is equipped with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a three-inch 320x480 screen, FM radio, and a five-megapixel camera with 720p movie making capability and 8x digital zoom. It has both a regular QWERTY keyboard and an onscreen QWERTY + 12 keyboard. Software features distinct to Sony Ericsson bring Facebook and Twitter integration as well ashandwriting recognition, and facial recognition.

Pricing has not been set but will likely come in at the low end.
