Also launching new multi-window HD player
CNN will now stream its news broadcasts to viewers over the Internet as well as cable. The company is making its programming available all day, every day on computers, iPhones, and iPads to individuals who are existing subscribers to the network through cable, IP, and satellite TV. CNN is also launching a new video player that offers simultaneous multi-window HD streams.
The 24-hour streaming will include both the core station and Headline News. CNN has provided live streamed content to iPad owners since December, but only for major events.
Individuals who subscribe to either through a provider such as Verizon, Comcast, Cox, or Dish will be able to access the streamed content. iPad owners and iPhone owners can go to the iTunes app store to download the enabling app (linked above).
CNN is also enhancing its online viewing experience. The company will now be offering up to four live streams of news and events, original video series and on-demand video clips with related CNN and HLN show information in HD.

Wait until AppleTV starts using
iOS apps. It looks like that could really put a serious hurt to the cable companies. Apple needs to get some licensing for AppleTV just like the cable companies do.
