Archos sets US prices for 9th-Gen tablet range

Archos has set its US prices the G9 series of Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) tablets. The two main model lines are distinguished primarily by their screen size, however, within both product lines users have an array of choices. The Archos 80 G9 line is comprised of 8-inch tablets, while the Archos 101 G9 line is comprised of 10-inch tablets. However, blistering processor speed is something common to both lines of the French made tablet.

In the two model ranges users can choose either a 1GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 processor or a very fast 1.5GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 processor, both TI OMAP chips. The other choice to make is whether to equip the device with faster flash memory and less total storage (up to 16GB plus microSD slot), or the slower, but higher capacity traditional spinning-platter hard drive (250GB).

The Archos 80 G9 comes in three main variants. There is an 8GB/1GHz model for $300, a 16GB/1.5GHz model for $330 and a 250GB/1.5GHz model for $370.

The Archos 101 G can also be had in three main variants. The 8GB/1GHz model is going for $370, the 16GB/1.5GHz combo for $400 and the 250GB/1.5GHz model for $470.
