Samsung rumored shipping huge 5.3-inch Galaxy Q in September

Samsung Galaxy Q may arrive at IFA show

Samsung is rumored to be bringing the largest phone ever to the IFA trade show in Berlin this September. At 5.3 inches, the Galaxy Q would be larger than Samsung's own 4.5-inch Infuse 4G (shown) or even Dell's Streak tablet. The design would be a "stepping stone" between a phone and a tablet based on etomato's tip.

Not much was revealed other than that it would likely use a Super AMOLED Plus screen and that versions would exist with LTE-based 4G. Its size and timing will likely dictate Android 2.3 rather than 3.2.

The device hasn't been officially confirmed by Samsung. Whether or not it reaches the US is uncertain. Samsung put out the Infuse 4G first in the US, but the choice of IFA hints at a more international focus. LTE would suit it to both Verizon and to AT&T's upcoming network.
