Contour Android app now out for extreme cameras

Android smartphone owners who also have the ContourGPS or Contour+ extreme sports cameras can now download the Contour Connect app (free, Android Market). Like the iOS app, it allows users to use it as a portable, wireless viewfinder, check up on battery life and see how much memory is left for recording.

Users also get the option of changing camera settings in real-time, such as the video mode, video quality, microphone, GPS and lighting. The smartphone connects to the cameras over Bluetooth 2.1 and is particularly useful since neither sports an LCD screen of its own.

Android 2.1 or newer is required.
