Pandora comes to Verizon FiOS TV subscribers

Verizon on Wednesday added the Pandora streaming Internet radio service to its FiOS TV subscribers in California, Texas and Virginia. In the process, it becomes the first TV service provider to do so, and promises Pandora will come to other FiOS TV subscribers over the next few months. Current Pandora subscribers can log in from their Motorola HD or DVR set-top boxes or create a new account and stream music to their TV or connected home theater system.

Pandora lets users personalize radio stations based on favorite artists, songs and genres. The FiOS TV interface retains all of the features, such as creating new stations, bookmarking songs for purchase and rating songs with a thumbs-up or thumbs-down. This can be done using the remote control or through an app for smartphones, tablets and computers.

Details of the Pandora and Verizon pact, such as financials, weren't revealed.
