Tablet/phone to be back on shelves in August

Dell has pulled its 5-inch Android-powered Streak from retail shelves as well as Dell's online store. Although rumored to be discontinued, Engadget reports that sales of device have been temporarily halted while Dell gives it an update. The Streak is expected to be back for sale sometime in August.

The five-inch Streak, which is a cross between a tablet and smartphone, was introduced last August for use on the AT&T network as well as independently. The seven-inch version of the Streak has not been impacted. It's still available for sale through major retailers including Staples, Best Buy, and Amazon.

Dell has not officially commented on the product's status.
