Apple posts iOS 4.3.5 quickly
Apple on Monday posted a surprise iOS 4.3.5 update. The release comes just a week after 4.3.4 and is only described as fixing a security hole in certificate validation. Its patch affects the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, all iPads, and the third- and fourth-generation iPod touch players.
A corresponding 4.2.10 patch is also being made available for Verizon iPhone owners.
The reason for the sudden fix isn't clear given Apple's tendency to wait longer for most fixes. A chance exists that Apple is patching a hole uncovered by subsequent jailbreaks that appeared just a day after 4.3.4.
