Gives credence that HTC Mango phones are real
Accessories for HTC's upcoming smartphones that support Window's Phone 7 Mango OS update have surfaced. Cases from manufacturer Magic Case and designed specifically for the Omega and Eternity phones are now appearing on the global trading site Alibaba. Such a listing gives credibility that the phones could be available for pre-order or actual availability in the near future.
The HTC Eternity is expected to revolve around a possibly record-setting 4.7-inch 800x480 touchscreen, a single-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, a rear-facing eight-megapixel camera with 720p video recording, and a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera.
The candybar shaped Omega will come with 3.8-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen, a similar 1.5GHz Snapdragon to the Eternity, an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, 720p recording, and an FM radio.
Microsoft is believed to have quietly finished work on the latest Windows 7 update this week. Phone manufacturers could be shipping phones running Mango as early as next month. HTC has not indicated when the Omega or Eternity might start to ship. [via PhoneArena]
