HTC Puccini seen in earnest

HTC's Puccini tablet has finally been seen closer to its actual production form with renders escaping on Tuesday. The tablet will look more like HTC's smartphones with a 'wave' running through the back. As seen, BGR's example also includes the capacitive-friendly pen from the Flyer and an upscale leather case that would hold both the Puccini and its input add-on.

Any new specifications are light and appear to mostly be those from earlier leaks. It should have a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, an eight-megapixel back camera, a front camera, and LTE to take advantage of AT&T's upcoming 4G network. Android 3.1 or 3.2 should ship with the slate and come with a matching version of HTC's Sense layer on top.

The Puccini has already cleared the FCC and could ship in late summer or the fall. A confidentiality agreement with the FCC ends only in December, though, and could see AT&T wait until early 2012.
