Signals AT&T - T-Mobile merger moving ahead

This September, RadioShack Corporation will make a major change to its wireless offerings. The company announced that effective Sept. 14, it will stop selling T-Mobile service and equipment. Radio Shack will start selling Verizon service on Sept. 15. The announcement is the latest indication that the AT&T-T-Mobile merger is likely to be approved.

In a separate announcement, Radio Shack noted that it was phasing out T-Mobile inventory. This hints that AT&T may eliminate the T-Mobile brand, unlike Sprint's decision to keep the Nextel brand active after those two companies merged.
