Verizon late to receive Galaxy Tab 10.1 microSIM LTE cards

Customers may have to wait until late in the day

Verizon is reportedly facing the possibility of slight delays for the 4G LTE version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1, which are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. The tablets are expected to arrive on time, however a leaked memo suggests the carrier may have failed to procure its microSIM LTE cards in time to activate the devices for customers who arrive early in the day.

The memo, which was posted on Droid Life, provides instructions for Verizon employees at locations that do not receive the small LTE cards before launch day. Customers with contract agreements may be forced to return after 10:00am or receive the LTE SIM and tablet delivered through the mail, while pre-paid customers can the tablet home and wait for just the SIM to arrive at a later time.

It remains unclear if the late microSIM deliveries will affect a large number of Verizon locations, or if the 10:00am arrival time will be accurate.
