Image leak shows packaging ahead of launch

Best Buy appears to be readying its Insignia televisions to launch with a number of connected features, including the Chumby apps that were detailed last month. Corroborating recent rumors, a fresh set of leaked images, which were posted on Zatz Not Funny, show the packaging for the 42-inch variant. Earlier reports already pointed to several other connected features, such as Netflix and Pandora, however the TVs may arrive as the first to offer the Chumby apps.

Chumby's current platform connects to more than 1500 apps, though it remains unclear if the TV edition will provide access to the full range. The content is said to be cloud-based and scalable across different screen sizes and types of devices.

Both recent reports suggest Best Buy is nearing its launch date, which is expected before the end of the month. The 32-inch model is said to cost $599, while the 42-inch model reportedly brings the price up to $999.
