Sony intros new A, S and E-series Walkmans

Sony as introduced three new Walkman MP3 players. Headlining the updated range is the new A-series, which is closely followed by the new S-series. The new entry level dedicated MP3 player in the Sony line up is the new E-series.

The new A-series Walkman is Sony's flagship model and features two vaunted Sony audio technologies. The first is the latest incarnation of its S-Master Amp, the MX digital amplifier, while the second is Sony's Clear Audio Technologies for dynamic sound enhancement. It also packs a 2.8-inch color display and includes Bluetooth for wireless streaming. It is available now for $179 (8GB) and $219 (16GB) and includes high-quality EX earphones.

The new S-series sits just below the A-series and makes do without the S-Master Amp tech. However, it retains Sony's Clear Audio dynamic sound enhancement. It is capable of 50 hours of music playback or 10 hours of video playback on its 2.0-inch color display. The new S-series Walkman is retailing for $149 (8GB).

The new entry-level dedicated MP3 player to come from Sony is the new E-series Walkman. It comes in a range of colors including black, blue, green, red and pink. It also includes Sony's Clear Audio tech and comes in 4GB ($79), 8GB ($89) and 16GB ($109) flavors.
