UX update to arrive on August 3

Samsung appears to be ready to release a major software update for the Galaxy Tab 10.1. The company has sent invitations to an August 3rd event, where attendees will be presented with the TouchWiz UX interface overlay. The software has been enhanced with Live Panel and Mini Apps features, while the company's Media Hub has also been redesigned.

Aside from the Samsung tweaks, users will also be able to take advantage of Amazon's Music Cloud Player, a Kindle app, and the game Words with Friends. Other changes include new enterprise features, which have yet to be fully detailed.

After the private media gathering on August 3, Samsung will be offering onsite Galaxy Tab software updates for the public beginning at 1pm at Samsung Experience on the third floor of The Shops at Columbus Circle in New York City.
