Contradicts Vodafone's statements

Last week, HTC unexpectedly announced a two month delay in shipping the GSM version of its Evo 3D smartphone until September. Vodafone subsequently backed away from carrying the phone. Digitimes reports that HTC denies this, contending that Vodafone will still carry the phone.

According to DigiTimes, HTC has stated that Vodafone is marketing the EVO 3D in six major European countries. Contrary to rumors, neither has the carrier canceled its orders for the phone, nor has HTC delayed shipments of the phone to the carrier, it said.

This contradicts Vodafone, which said that the delays will make the phone less competitive than other devices due out soon. No evidence of the phone can be found on Vodafone's UK website.
