Motorola Pax identified as dual-core, push-to-talk Android

Motorola Pax for Sprint sighted

Motorola's unnamed 'super' BlackBerry-alike for Sprint has been given a name and very fast specs in a follow-up leak. Now called the Pax, the QWERTY keyboard phone would effectively be a much improved XPRT (Droid Pro) with a dual-core processor. This is my next also understands that it would have push-to-talk CDMA.

Not much else is known other than that the phone would run Android 2.3 and, presumably, Motorola's latest custom interface. One of the complaints about the XPRT and Droid Pro has been the lower resolution screen and could lead Motorola to boost the density up to stay closer to its other newer Android flagships. A camera upgrade and WiMAX are possibilities as well.

Launch scheduling isn't as certain, although it may be a prime candidate to be unveiled at the CTIA's fall show in October, where the focus will be on business phones just like the Pax.
