US, Canadian iPad 2 shipping times fall to 24 hours

Comes over four months after launch
iPad 2 shipping times at Apple's US online store have finally dropped to about 24 hours, checks show. The same timing applies to the Canadian store, which frequently follows suit in delivery times if not prices. Shipping delays remain longer in other regions, such as in the UK, where the wait is still between one and three days.
The current shipping windows have been a long time in the making. The iPad 2 launched in the US over four months ago, and internationally two weeks after that. During the first month online shipping schedules were measurable in weeks, and while it was possible to avoid these by shopping at retail, many US Apple Stores saw early-morning lineups that left little or no stock available by midday.
