Motorola Android 3.2 due soon for Verizon Xoom
Motorola will soon begin testing the Android 3.2 operating system for the 3G Xoom tablet offered by Verizon, Droid-Life heard on Tuesday. Like others, the pre-release check is being called a "software test project for the Verizon-branded Motorola Xoom," the source explained. The Wi-Fi version already received the update to 3.2.
The claim hasn't been verified but also lines up with an earlier report that had the company bring out the update in the coming weeks.
Changes will include a new new compatibility zoom mode that will allow fixed-sized apps to be viewed on larger devices. A menu icon in the system bar will turn this mode on. There will also be a media sync feature that will allow users to load media files for apps that use them directly from the SD card. Exchange fixes are also planned.
