Case integrates keyboard and stand

Belkin has added to its family of iPad 2 accessories with the introduction of the F5L090 Keyboard Folio. The Folio like some of its peers combines a keyboard with a stand and protective case to give users a notebook-like experience from the normally touch-only tablet. It connects to the iPad 2 through Bluetooth.

The keyboard's keys are made of hard plastic, which the company believes provides a more natural feel than rubber alternatives. It has an active battery life of about 60 hours.

The case itself is a three fold design which closes to wrap the iPad in a protective material with a "suede-like" feel. When not in use, the keyboard tucks out of the way behind the hardware. The case integrates a micro USB port for charging. Belkin has embedded a rigid backplane which serves as a stand and can be adjusted for different viewing angles.

The Keyboard Folio is available now at US shops for $100.
