Motorola registers five domains that contain Kore

Motorola's upcoming next-generation tablet may be called Kore, as the company has made five domain registrations with the name. This past Wednesday, Motorola registered MotorolaKore.com, KoreMotorola.com, Moto-kore.com, MotoKore.com, and Motorola-Kore.com, Fusible said. Motorola hasn't directly given away clues as to what the Kore would be.

Rumors put the tablet at thinner than the company's current Xoom device (shown), and perhaps shipping with a 2048x1536 resolution display that mimics the Retina Display most people anticipate for the next-gen iPad. It may show up running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandich, which so far is known to bring with it intelligent face tracking. There is talk of it sporting NVIDIA's quad-core Tegra 3 processor as well.

A 2012 release for the tablet is most likely, although two new tablets are due to ship before the end of 2011.
