Motorola Xoom 3G gets Android 3.2

Verizon marked Friday evening by rolling out its Android 3.2 update for the Motorola Xoom. The HTJ85 update brings everything associated with the new OS, including the new app scaling. It also closes a chapter for Motorola as it finally turns on the microSD card slot on the very first Xoom to ship, about seven months after it was first promised.

Movie streaming gets better both through proper HDMI rescaling, stability fixes, and new adaptive streaming to keep movies playing on slower connections. Exchange support gets an option for password recovery and works better with ActiveSync.

Xoom owners can check for the update to get it quickly or wait for Verizon to push it out within the next few days.
