Bold 9930 to cost $250, Torch 9850 $150 at Sprint

The rumored August 21 ship date for the BlackBerry Bold 9930 and Torch 9850 smartphones at Sprint has now been confirmed by the carrier. The former will cost $250 on a new two-year contract while the Torch 9850 will cost $150 on the same term. Either gets a 1.2GHz CPU and BlackBerry 7.

The 9930 is a CDMA version of the 9900, and uses the same 2.8-inch, 640x480 display along with a hardware QWERTY keyboard and NFC compatibility for short-range wireless payments and tags. A 1.2GHz processor and a five-megapixel camera with 720p video move it well beyond earlier BlackBerry hardware.

The 9850 is a CDMA version of the 9860 and has the same 3.7-inch touchscreen with a 480x800 resolution, but no QWERTY keyboard. It shares the processor and camera of the 9930.
