Company recently filed for Amaze trademark
HTC has allegedly chosen the name Amaze 4G to represent the handset that so far has been referred to as the Ruby. Amaze is only one of many terms that have appeared in HTC's trademark applications, separately in the US and Europe, however unnamed sources have told Pocketnow the label will be tied to the Ruby smartphone rather than another unannounced handset.
The device, which is expected to be HTC's flagship Android offering, is rumored to integrate a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, along with a 4.3-inch 540x960 display. Users will reportedly be able to take advantage of an eight-megapixel primary camera and a two-megapixel front-facing sensor.
Separate reports suggest the Ruby will arrive at T-Mobile on October 26, though earlier rumors pointed to a September launch.
