Performance matches Galaxy S II

Samsung's unannounced Hercules handset has surfaced in the wild yet again with Telus branding, corroborating earlier rumors pointing to an imminent launch through the Canadian carrier. The images, which were posted on MobileSyrup, also include results from a Quadrant benchmark that show performance levels on-par with leaked tests from the reference Galaxy S II.

Although the Hercules has a different external design than the Galaxy S II, with a different button layout and larger 4.5-inch display, the benchmark results suggest both devices may share the same internal hardware. The handsets are rumored to integrate 1.2GHz Exynos processors, eight-megapixel primary cameras, two-megapixel front-facing sensors, and Samsung's ToucWiz UI overtop Android 2.3.

Pricing and launch information for the Telus-branded Hercules have yet to be confirmed. A T-Mobile variant is rumored to be on its way late in October.
